Our team is a group of hard-working scientists, makers, and entrepreneurs committed to creating concrete steps for mediating climate change. We have a wealth of experience building aquaponics systems and working in the wastewater field that helps us create these solutions.

More than anything else, our team is steadfast in the belief that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.*

A National Crisis

To build a just, sustainable future, off-grid wastewater treatment is a necessity. We are far from this reality due to our dilapidated treatment technologies, which are so neglected the American Society of Civil Engineers rates our wastewater infrastructure as a D+!

From “on-grid” municipal treatment plants to off-grid septic tanks, these deteriorating systems are now leading causes of disease outbreaks and algal blooms according to the EPA and the National Resource Defense Council.  This is a burgeoning humanitarian crisis as pollution disproportionately affects nearby poverty-stricken communities of color that can’t afford to replace these degenerating systems.

Our vision is to build a future of wastewater treatment where everyone has systems that are all-natural, affordable, and effective.

Our DIY aquaponic units and systems for offices help to fund our research for wastewater treatment. Every time you buy one of these units you’re supporting the larger cause of a sustainable wastewater future and we salute you!
